Volunteer With Jericho

Volunteers are an important part of Jericho Come As You Are CIC. We welcome people who are compassionate, reliable and committed to treating others with dignity and respect.

Volunteers help us create a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for people facing hardship, isolation or difficult life circumstances.

Volunteer roles may include

  • Community outreach support
  • Practical help
  • Food and refreshments support
  • Admin support
  • Fundraising support
  • Events support
  • Prayer and encouragement, where appropriate

What we expect from volunteers

All volunteers will be expected to follow Jericho’s policies, including safeguarding, confidentiality, professional boundaries and code of conduct.

Some roles may require references, induction training and DBS checks depending on the role and level of contact with vulnerable people

Volunteer enquiries may be subject to safer recruitment checks, depending on the role. This may include references, induction training and a DBS check where appropriate.
